Perth Andover, Day 61

Things are starting to look very familiar. We stopped at Grand Falls and took in the sites. You don't realize what home has to offer until you're away from it long enough. New Brunswick is so peaceful. It was a nice day and when we arrived at the campground the manager gave us a ride to pick up some food and upgraded us to a cabin. There's nothing like New Brunswick hospitality.

Edmundston, Day 60

Today was one of the toughest days yet. We biked up some really big hills and worked our way through construction zones. It was all worth it though because we were about to accomplish something that seemed unrealistic two short months ago, bike into New Brunswick! Cameron and I hooted and hollered like maniacs when we passed the information centre. I'll never forget that feeling...

Riviere-Du-Loup, Day 59

Woke up early to start a 133 km day. Stopped to use the washroom at a cool antique/blacksmith shop. It was a beautiful day out and the St Lawrence river was really nice to bike beside. I can't believe that we are this close to New Brunswick!

Montmagny, Day 58

Out with the old shoes and in with the new ones. Decided to spend the morning in Quebec because we loved it so much. Did some shopping and explored. We got on the ferry our of town and had a short day (62 km) to the campground in Montmagny.

Quebec City, Day 57

Cameron and I biked into the magical Quebec City today. Old Quebec is a beautiful place with so much character. Even the Tim hortons and subways looked cool. The military history and old buildings makes you feel like you're in an ancient kingdom. We walked around town and got our picture with the guards at the wall. Stayed at the hostel and passed out after two long days of biking (total 279 km).

Trois-Rivieres, Day 56

It was a slow day out of Montreal and the weather wasn't the best. We clocked at 20 km/h on a roadside speedometer and biked past some people parasailing. Had our first sign of home when we passed an Irving. Stayed at a warmshowers and went to a french play while in trois-rivieres.

Montreal, Day 55

Cameron and I stopped at Smoke Meat Pete's in the morning before biking into Montreal. We had a short easy ride into the big city. We ate more smoked meat at Schwartz's before we did some shopping on Saint Catherine street.

Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Day 54

Woke up early and got a nice picture of the campsite. Made good time to Cornwall and decided to go farther. Biked right out of Ontario and into Quebec! Unfortunately, it rained all day. We met a very nice lady that offered her home to us, but we already had a warmshowers booked. Arrived at Jean Luc and Marjolaine's home where we had a nice meal. Luckily, Jean Luc spoke English because our French was a little rusty. It was so nice to crawl into a warm bed after a 161km day.

Grenville Park, Day 53

We had a nice tailwind today and biked 151km. Got on the waterfront trail which was amazing. It's a paved path that passes the 1000 islands where there are beautiful homes built on them. Got to the campground early and watched a movie in the tent.

Napanee, Day 51 & 52

Woke up at the campground and we were invited to have breakfast with some other campers. Biked on gravel all day. We were very frustrated. We stayed at a nice hotel in Napanee and got 40mm of rain and high East winds the next day, so we stayed another night.
