Left the travel lodge for a huge day to Brooks. The roads seem never-ending on the prairies. The fields are quite nice to look at though. Unfortunately, Cameron's odometer stopped working at 1,235 km! That's a long way. Stopped in Bassano after a challenging 100 km, Cameron thought that it was easy. We continued into an annoying headwind when we discovered the importance of drafting...HOLY COW! What a world of difference. Cameron and I laughed as he struggled in front and I cruised behind. No wonder he thought the ride to Bassano was so easy, he was in back! Had supper at the Boston Pizza in Brooks and went another 9 km to the Tillebrook campground. A total of 148 km. The mosquitos were bad but the sunset was to die for.
